Prepress Roller Solutions
Prepress is a vital part of every printer's workflow.
Clean, efficient and accurate plate and film production
are necessities in today's marketplace. Rubber roller coating
breakdown is the most common problem with prepress equipment.
Rollers can be exposed to harsh chemicals which combined with
elevated temperatures accelerate the decompostion of the
rubber coating and its bond to the metal core. Many times the
material used by the OEM is not conducive to this environment
and breaks down more quickly than it should.
J.J. Short Associates, have over 35 years experience
working with the rubber coated rollers from prepress equipment
including platesetters, flexo and packaging, imagesetters,
computer to film imagesetters and film processors and
platemaking equipment.
Many times refurbishing your rubber rollers is more
economical than purchasing an entirely new rollers at
overinflated pricing from the OEM and their dealer network.
Further many servicable makes and models of prepress equipment
are no longer supported by the OEM, who instead try to force
you into a new equipment purchase. Before scrapping your
